About
Fairway Treasures answers the questions that come up around a round of golf rather than during one. How a scramble is scored. What the small forked tool in someone else's bag is for. Whether you are supposed to tip the caddie, and how much.
Most of these questions are asked by two people. One has been invited to play and does not want to look lost on the first tee. The other has been handed the job of organising a charity day or a society trip and has three weeks to work out how any of it runs.
Every guide is written to answer its question in the first few lines, then fill in the detail underneath. Where a piece of kit or a prize is part of the answer, it is named plainly rather than dressed up as a recommendation.
